Grand Isle, La. Speckled Trout
We fished the beach at Grand Isle, La. this morning, and we counted about 40 local shrimp trawlers working this area in endless circles. Busy boat decks flooded with light at dawn in the image below.
We wade out halfway between the rock jetties and the beach (above) and watch the sunrise!
Five keeper speckled trout (weakfish) we kept for dinner above. We released a few undersize trout and a voilent Spanish Mackerel!
