Bull Sharks, Ladyfish and Whiting
The first Bull shark I played for 20-30 minutes. We are catching bigger sharks. The bucket is to wet them and wash the sand off at the same time. They thrash and get really pissed!
The second Bull shark was the biggest so far, I went up and down the beach for 40 minutes with this one. A "reel" ride! Our reels are spooled with 20 pound test green flourescent Ande fishing line. I use 135 pound test seven strand mono coated leaders that I make up at the beach fishing for big redfish. You have to be careful with these guys, I revived both of them, we both get played out. We have about 2 minutes "shark out of the water time" to photo and release them. When I release these bull sharks 2 out of 5 will turn around and come after me. Mean bastards.
Jaws Jr. a very real threat.
Four Ultralights flew by cruising the beach.
Ladyfish and Whiting we caught early, guess the sharks ran off or ate the trout so we put out the big rods again. It is easy to wade out and catch mullet for bait with a castnet, hugh schools of mullet are cruising the beaches.
