Tarpon Rodeo in Grand Isle, La.
We visited the 79th Annual Tarpon Rodeo in Grand Isle, La. Saturday. With light winds and perfect weather for all 3 tournament days, we were very surprised by the light turnout, and the low amount of fish entries. Just a few years back, it was hard to get anywhere near the east end of the island.
To the right of the red and white canopy fish entry display tent above, is the hugh main event tent with souveniers, fine food & drink, live entertainment, an awards stage loaded with trophies, and tons and tons of remote air conditioning continuously pumped in!
