Louisiana Surf Fishing!
Monday May 29 / Memorial Day
We were after trout on our artificial lures, but when we got to the beach this morning it was rough and muddy water, as usual the last few months, with piles of seaweed to! So we went cast netting to get some bait for the big surf rod to see what we could hook up with while we went swimming! We got lots of assorted live bait in the castnet, and ended up using cut mullet hoping for some action. We hooked up with a big shark, got him in sight and approaching the beach when he bolted, he got off with the terminal tackle too! We re-rigged and caught a hardhead catfish and another smaller shark shown in the photos with the cajun girls!
