We went back on sunday July 6, two days later on the holiday weekend!! Another great day! The bottom right fish is a Spanish Mackerel! The La. minimum size is 14 inches, this guy made it easily! The wildlife and fisheries book says you can even bend the "V" tail whichever way makes the fish the longest! This is the last of my Big Lady Fish photos, twice I cooked them, they taste ok but they have two long rows of crisscrossed bones that run the length of each massive filet!! I have released them from this trip on!!

The Spanish Mackerel is a beautiful animal, any fish with that beautiful "V" tail and those cool dinosaur ridges like a tuna is a work of art!! All that artwork is on the skin, they have no scales and a thin backbone that gives up two awesome filets!!
